BREAKING GROUND FOR A NEW HOTEL 

Early in May the groundbreaking began for the Inn at Carter Plantation.  The 44 room Preferred Hotel is scheduled for completion in 2009.  Carter Plantation is a work in progress.  The Town Center housing the new hotel registration building is near completion, while the new banquet building, new restaurant, day spa & fitness center are several months from completion.

What's next?  Plans are well underway for a 1,400 acre expansion that will include 182 home sites, 354 condominium and townhouse units, more than 10,000 square feet of commercial space, a 345 boat slip marina and a second golf course.  The Carter Plantation is in the early stages of working out the details for Carter Cove and Creole Village.  Both developments will be bringing the green building concept to Carter Plantation and should be underway in the next few months.
